Right now, pilgrims are standing on the plains of Arafah, hands raised in dua. This is a day of forgiveness, mercy, and acceptance. No matter how heavy your past feels, Allah’s mercy is greater. Ask with a heart full of hope, as this could be the moment everything changes.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.”
[Hadith, Sahih Muslim]
What Can We Do On This Day?
The best dua to repeat today:
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ “Laa ilaaha illa Allah, wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in qadeer.” (There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all dominion and praise, and He has power over all things.)
